Cheryl Jackson and Julie Hawley are two women on a mission – to showcase Sheffield’s most dynamic urban living development.
For the duo are the sales executives who will be highlighting what the multi-million pound Kelham Riverside development has to offer those wanting to experience the best of city living.
The stylish development, which consists of 146 one and two bedroomed apartments boasting contemporary quality and flair, is being unveiled to the city on July 26 at an exclusive launch.
The development’s show suite at Prospect House on Alma Street is being opened to people who want to see first hand the exclusive style on offer. There is even an opportunity to benefit from getting the five per cent deposit paid when reserving a home for a limited period only. This is a great boost for first time buyers in Sheffield.
With more than 20 years of professional experience in their field, Cheryl and Julie are perfectly skilled to underline what the impressive development can offer to a range of prospective purchasers.
“Some people think that living in a city apartment is the domain of the young trendy types,” explains Cheryl, who has been working for Saxton Mee, the scheme’s agents since 2000.
“That certainly is not the case in my experience. Kelham Riverside offers something for everyone – whether first time buyers, retired couples wanting to downsize or those looking for something different but being within easy reach of the city.”
Kelham Riverside, which is the brainchild of internationally renowned developers The Raven Group, has being designed to create a cosmopolitan community complete with an urban square offering a choice of bars, restaurants, retail, quality office space and studio suites. The development, nestled on the water’s edge and close to the Kelham Island Museum, will pay homage to the Island’s industrial heritage, featuring details which reflect the original workshops that once stood in its place.
“This is an exciting time for Kelham Island as this development takes shape. It combines the history of Sheffield in this location with being close to the city centre – you essentially feel you are part of a village. It really is the last opportunity to buy somewhere like this,” said Julie who has extensive customer care expertise and 15 years’ experience in the construction industry spanning new build reservation practice through build process to legal completion.
Interest in the development has been healthy and the new show suite will be open seven days a week from 10am – 5pm for prospective purchasers to visit.
Attracting purchasers to urban living is Cheryl’s particular forte having worked on several key developments across the city.
“Kelham Riverside is one of the most impressive I have been involved in as it epitomises regeneration. People now have the choice of urban living and here we are making a community,” said Cheryl whose diverse career has spanned social care and the music industry. She is also an NVQ assessor in customer care which complements her current role.
“City centres are perfectly adapted to quality living and people have lived in Europe like this for a long time. Kelham Riverside lends itself to European style of living more than people realise,” she added.
The Raven Group is investing £43m in Kelham Riverside. Phase 1 of development is well underway and is due for completion in mid 2008.
